Cultural Resonance

In my artistic journey, the folk traditions and visual culture of Uttarakhand have been my greatest inspiration. Aipan patterns, Mandana motifs, yantras, folk figures, and Himalayan symbols form the soul of my work. Yet, I have not simply replicated these traditions; rather, I have reimagined them through my creative vision and contemporary sensibility.

My works preserve the simplicity and depth of folk art while transforming traditional symbols into abstract and modern compositions. In doing so, they not only represent cultural heritage but also resonate within the universal language of contemporary art. The layers of colors - reds, yellows, greens, blues, and violets -express the vitality of folk life and the diversity of nature. Geometric yantras and circular energy forms symbolize meditation, spirituality, and cosmic journeys. Amidst these, the presence of folk figures - stick forms, dancing women, and divine symbols—reminds us that my art is not merely personal expression, but also a collective cultural memory.

For me, this series is not just painting, but a dialogue -

• between tradition and modernity, • between folk art and abstraction, • and ultimately, between the human spirit and the cosmos.

Each work is an attempt to preserve the cultural roots of Uttarakhand while presenting them in a global artistic language.

These paintings are not merely objects to look at, but journeys to experience and absorb.
